Low blood pressure, or hypotension, can be a sign of a long and healthy life. On the other hand, if it is accompanied by fainting, dizziness, anaemia, bleeding or excessive fatigue, it may be a symptom of tuberculosis, cancer, low blood sugar, rheumatism, or adrenal, thyroid, or pituitary insufficiency.
If hypotension is symptomatic of another disorder, that condition will need to be resolved first, or at least simultaneously. The best tonic for low blood pressure is regular exercise and lots of deep breathing. Herbal aids include mainly blood cleansers and builders.
