Sore Throat

See also Sinus, Cold/Flu, Infection.

A sore throat is usually an extension of some other problem. It can often be related to a sinus condition, cold, flu, allergies or viral infection. If you have a very sore red throat for extended period of time, it could be a strep throat. In this case, it is often best to get antibiotics. The complications that strep throat can cause are more severe than the side effects of antibiotics.
