Herbal action: Expectorant, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, laxative

Medicinal uses: Pansies are often used to treat nocturnal enuresis in children.

Because of the high rutin content in the flowers it can be used to prevent bruising and heals broken capillaries. It also reduces fluid build-up in the tissues and helps prevent atherosclerosis, thereby lowering blood pressure.
