Cannabis has been used by humans for many millennia for fiber, food, medicine and recreational purposes. In this Introductory course, we are going to look at an overview of its history, gain a wider perspective of cannabis’ influence on people, and how it can help us in our daily lives.
We will delve into some of the current science of the huge number of constituents that make up its activity. It is now known that our body has a special mechanism, called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which works with many of these specific plant constituents. The scent of cannabis (containing terpenes) has also been shown to have significant therapeutic value. Cannabis also has some unique and interesting botanical properties that we will explore.
By blending all of this information together, we draw a clearer picture of how cannabis can work with an individual. We will also look at contraindications & cautions to prevent over doing it. We will round things out with approaching dosage suggestions for common issues that cannabis has been shown to have success with.
