Clinical Herbalist Apprenticeship Program – Online Practicum

Please ensure you add both the Practitioner and the Practicum Dates you are requesting to the order notes at check out.
After booking your online practicum, your placement will be reviewed by the Education Manager and you will be notified via email with confirmation of your practicum.
**Please note that our online practicums have a minimum of 10 students and a maximum of 25. If a practicum does not go ahead due to not reaching the minimum number of students a full refund will be given.

Bree Nabholz – Women’s Health Practicum I (All Skill Levels)
- October 10 -14 from 10 am – 4:30 pm MST
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the physiology and root causes of the following clinical presentations: PMS, menstrual irregularity, menstrual cramps, heavy bleeding, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), endometriosis & menopause
- Discover the specific herbs, herbal actions and therapeutic goals that are most helpful for addressing hormonal and reproductive imbalances
- Strengthen your knowledge in Herbal Energetics through the lens of Ayurveda and tissue states;
- Learn how to apply this vital concept to herbal formulation in order to create unique blends that are suited to each client’s individual constitution type
- Practice the art and science of designing a well-balanced herbal formula
- Learn what questions are important to ask by observing clinical herbalist, Bree Nabholz, conducting clinical intakes in real-time
- Understand how to make dietary, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations for each client in order to support a holistic approach to healing
Sample Daily Schedule:
- 10 am- Welcome everyone!
- 10-11:30 am- Overview of client’s case & deep dive into root cause/physiology (eg: menstrual cramps)
- 11:30 am-12:30 pm- Overview of herbs for condition
- 12:30 pm- LUNCH
- 1 pm- 2:30 pm- Intake with client
- 2:30 pm- 4:30 pm- Discussion of herbal formulation, Herbal energetics as relevant to the client
Homework for students- Writing session notes for clients (includes recommendations we would like to make as it relates to diet, supplements, lifestyle and herbs in the formula. To be reviewed and discussed the next day as a group)
