The main purpose of this course is to provide you with a continuation of the basic concepts and practices learned in Nutrition I. In anticipation of this, you may wish to review your notes to ensure you remember the important concepts of basic biochemistry, as well as nutrients including, but by no means limited to vitamins and minerals, carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and dietary fats, and foods that contain them.
Just as Nutrition I was a mandatory course for all diplomas introducing you to the basics of nutrition and digestion; vitamins, minerals, and diets; and your choices as a consumer, Nutrition II is required for our Master and Clinical Herbalist Diploma Programs, as well as the Wholistic Therapist Diploma Program.
In this course, research methods, clinical assessment as well as a closer look at specific diseases and the role diet plays in their recovery will be taught. You will gain a new sense of responsibility for your own health, while undoubtedly learning the tools and information to aid others as they travel through their lives with an enhanced body and mind because of your efforts.
