Marie instructs the Flower Essences Intensive for the Wild Rose Herbal Village, and is a co-creator of the Spring Virtual Herb Walk course. Hailing from downtown Montreal (Tio’tia:ke), she now lives and plays in the Cowichan Valley on the land of the Quw‘utsun on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Marie utilized her passion for plants, community, organization, leadership, and working toward empowering more people with herbal knowledge to steer Wild Rose College from 2018-2021. She was instrumental in creating a positive, inclusive culture of the college enabling it to continue to grow and influence students, plants and the world of herbal medicine through 2021 and beyond.
She is the author of ‘The Intimate Herbal: A Beginner’s Guide to Herbal Medicine for Sexual Health, Pleasure, and Hormonal Balance‘ released in June 2022 by North Atlantic Books. Marie runs a small herbal practice centered on women’s health in the Cowichan Valley and surrounding Gulf islands, BC. Find her at Femina Herbals or on Instagram.
Experience and History
Marie White is an herbalist and educator. Her work has appeared in print and online and she has collaborated with Alive magazine, the CHFA (Canadian Health Food Association), and many other leaders in the field of natural health and plant medicine, such as St Francis Herb Farm, CanPrev, and Aviva Romm, MD.
Marie studied herbalism at L’Herbothèque in Québec as well as with herbal practitioners on Vancouver Island, BC. She has a strong passion for women’s health and herbalism as a community practice & care. Her early mentors include Danièle Laberge, and Natacha Imbeault.
Marie oversaw the development of Wild Rose College program curriculum, student enrolment, and team building as General Manager from 2018-2021.
